Move · Earn · Compete.
Weekly activity totals are computed on your iPhone from Apple Health and turned into points. Consistency is rewarded through streaks, so showing up regularly counts for more than a single hard week.
Leaderboards are scoped to Carlsbad and to your neighborhood, age group and division, so you are compared with people whose week looks like yours rather than with the whole internet.
The same 52 business directory you see on this site is in the app, with a map, so you can go from a leaderboard to a class without opening a browser.
Health sharing is opt in per metric. You can export everything, delete your account and its data outright, and nothing about your health is shared with the businesses listed here.
National fitness trackers record activity well. What they cannot do is connect that activity to the studios, classes and people around you. Carlsbad Fitness is built the other way around: your training is the entry point to a local directory, a local leaderboard and, over time, rewards you can use at businesses in town.
The app reads workouts and activity from Apple Health with your permission, aggregates them on your device, and uploads only weekly totals. You choose which metrics to share, you can revoke sharing at any time, and you can export or permanently delete your data from inside the app. The privacy policy covers what is collected and why.

The app reads your workouts and activity from Apple Health on your iPhone, computes weekly totals on the device, and uploads only those totals. Points and streaks are awarded from those weekly totals.
